NHS bodies that don’t comply with NICE guidance offering patients innovative medicines will have to give their reasons according to a Department of Health announcement – to be fully implemented by autumn. An ‘innovation scorecard’ for public view will show which organisations are quick to adopt each of the most recently approved NICE-approved treatments.
