The media feel obliged to give ‘balanced’ info so there’s always a woman who claims ‘screening saved my life’ – that is her view and her hope, but sadly neither she nor any doctor can tell whether it did or not. And the realisation that treatment may very well have been unnecessary must be difficult to face.
